The community of St. Stephen's is made up of an ethnically diverse sampling of the surrounding community. As an inclusive community, St. Stephen's is home to singles, couples, families, our elders and those from a variety of faith traditions and world views. We are a safe place and alley to our LGBTQ2S family.
Many people have not experienced the United Church of Canada. Whether you have come from a non-religious background or have enjoyed different religious or spiritual experiences, all are welcome.
St. Stephen's is English speaking, but the congregation comes from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. We speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, German, French and Tagalog.
We consider ourselves a neighbourhood church and have a deep respect for the multicultural demographic of our surrounding neighbourhood and city. This drives our desire to learn more about new cultural traditions and practices, in order to experience faith and spirituality in new ways.
We are committed to:
- Helping one another grow spiritually in community.
